Hanuman who is capable to assume any form as he was desired, roamed around the inner areas of the palace with extreme grief, eventually arrived at the Palace of Ravana which was shining with the hue of sun, surrounded by high compound wall and well protected by the numerous mighty demons like woods full of lions.  The palace has elegant archways, entrances and beautiful doors decorated with silver and gold, protective shields made of lion and tigers skin, it was well protected by powerful demon warriors on elephants, chariots and horses.  The inner areas of the palace were decked with diamonds, expensive furniture and utensils, various attractive birds and animals were all over the places.  The palace was well protected with mighty demons, gorgeous and happy women in their grand attires and finest jewelries were roaming in the inner areas.  There were number of people in magnificent clothes, smeared in sandal paste were roaming like lions in the woods.  There were the sounds of divine instruments like Bheri and Mridanga, reverberations of conch while conducting the auspicious rituals by the demons.  Hanuman witnessed the ocean like colossal palace of Ravana decked with diamonds and expensive materials, elephants, horses and chariots.  He fearlessly moved through one place to another with great speed, meticulously observing each direction and portico,  prowess Hanuman leapt from the house of Prahastha to Mahaparshva, Kumbhakarna, Vibhishana, Mahodhara, Virupaksha, Vidhyuthjihva, Shuka, Sarana, Indhrajith,Jambumali, Sumali, Rashmikethu, Suryakethu, Vajrakaya, Dhumrakshasa, Sampathi, Vidhyuthrupa, Bhima, Ghana, Vighna, Shukanasya, Vakra, Shatha, Vikata, Brahmakarna, Dhamshtra, Romas, Rakshas, Yuddhonmaththa, Maththa, Dvajagrivah, Nadi, Vidhyuthjiva, Indhrajviha, Hasthimukha, Karala, Pishacha and Shonitha respectively.  The son of Lord Vayu/Maruthathmaja, Mahayashavi/prominent among the Vanaras, while moving through the palaces of the demons closely observed the richness of them as well, ultimately arrived at the palace of Ravana.  The best among the Vanara, Hanuman noticed the women with horrific eyes and various weapons like Shoola, Mudgara, Shakthi and Thomaras etc…the guards had fierce weapons in their hands, there were number of various colors of attractive horses and marvelous breed of elephants, beautiful fountains and waterfalls.  Hanuman reached close to the palace of Ravana and found powerful demon Kings, army of demons decked in gold, palanquins of various patterns, art galleries, pleasure houses and houses to have pleasurable and lustful activities.  There were palaces equivalent to the size of mount Mandhara, with large enclosures filled with peacocks, like the palace of Kubera filled with riches.  Ravanas palace was dazzling in the light of diamond and the rays of sun, it has numerous classy furniture and vessels made of gold.  Hanuman entered the palace and found that there were abundance of intoxicated drinks made of honey filled in several magnificent vessels, palace of Kubera was filled with most beautiful women and the place was reverberated with the sounds of their tinkling waist ornaments while gracefully moving around and the sounds of percussions.
